We are so thankful to have Miss Carly as part of our family!

Carly had her 2 year check up today......

she weighed in at 29 pounds and 35 in. tall!

Mother's Day!

Like always, I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I woke up to cinnamon rolls baking in the oven and a dozen red roses on the counter. After church we went to Pei-Wei for a yummy lunch then later we got together with family. The Lord has blessed me with three wonderful children and I'm proud to be their mom.

and she already knows what to do. She found mommy's mascara! Just when I thought missy was watching Sesame Street...she comes walking into the room looking like this. What a girl!

Easter

Easter Sunday we had a wonderful service at church. Afterwards we decided to meet up with family at the park since the weather was so nice. However, after driving around to a few different parks only to find them packed with people and no tables to sit at, we ended up at our house. It was just as nice!! Erik's mom came into town the Friday before Easter so she was with us to celebrate Easter and Erik's birthday on Tuesday.

The Park

The weather here has been wonderful!! Not too hot and not too cold. Yesterday we took a walk to the park with cousins Hannah and Henry. Carter was able to join us too since this is spring break for him. I was very impressed how Carly handled herself getting up and down on the equipment. She is becoming more and more independent!!

The Mariners

This is the time of year we see lots and lots of people and traffic in town. It's Spring Training time. We live 5 minutes from where the Mariners and Padres play and you don't have to tell us what month it is...we just know from the traffic each day.

Yesterday we decided to head over to the field and watch the Mariners play. It's cheap entertainment and a great way to enjoy this perfect weather!! And of course, having the team from our home town makes it that much more exciting!

And by the way...Happy 22 months Carly!

Fun Time

Saturday afternoon we spent some time with our friends, the Samuels, at their place. They used to live 5 minutes from our house and we car-pooled to school every day together. That was great! But over a year ago (maybe longer), they moved up North. I give my girlfriend a hard time every time we drive to their place. I feel like it so far to drive (it is after only being 5 min) and tease her by saying "well, we drove thru Colorado and should be there in about 4 more hrs"....ha! OK, it really doesn't take that long but.... Anyway, it has been awhile since the last time we were at their place so we were looking forward to this time. They live on an acre so there is lots of room for the kids to run wild, ride the quads and chase the chickens! Carter couldn't wait to get up there and get on that quad! We were quite surprised how he handled that thing this time around....MUCH more confidence. We had to tell him a few times to take it easy. Yikes!! Then of course Carly got her turn too, but at a much slower pace of course. She was all smiles. Carly loved the chickens. She wasn't ready to have them eat out of her hand though...just loved watching daddy and Connor feed them. She also loved the horses. We fed them carrots and she thought that was pretty funny.

We love spending time with the Samuels and definitely need to make a better effort of visiting their place more often!
